Our story starts 2 years ago on a line at Disney World. I (Monica Levine-Sauberman) was standing on line with my family and I commented to my mother (Andrea Levine) that it was upsetting that it was so difficult and time consuming to plan family trips. Another woman heard me talking and agreed that it was hard to find good, easy to understand information that was just for families. Yes, there were some websites, but not a site that covered everything related to family travel in a format that was quick to access and easy to understand. Mom said we can do something to help family travel become more fun, safe, and economical. I agreed and the idea for Family Vacation Critics was born. We wanted a site that was adult and kid friendly that contained information from families around the world. This site was destined to be about families on vacation, and it will always be! Mom and I were ready to start!

Four months later, I was talking to Jolienne Rutter (adopted sister) a friend that I happened to meet through my daughter's school. I was asking her advice about the Internet, when I realized she would be a great person to have as a part of Family Vacation Critics. So, I asked her to come on board to give her expertise when it comes to the Internet and business. She has worked diligently on all the financial and business details to make this site a reality.

After that Jolienne, Mom and I found several designers to help us build the site. They have worked long and hard to ensure that our critics get their voices heard. From developing the ranking system to programming the graphics, they have ensured that your opinions and comments reach millions around the world.

Kenneth Levine (my father), a brilliant business man, now retired runs the PR campaign to let the world know who we are!!.

It's definitely been a journey to launch this site and we are so thankful that you have decided to join us on this trip. We hope that you will become a part of our family as a critic and as a fellow family traveler.
